done (sorta)
it took me another couple of hours to finish reading blogs. i had to skim through my nieces' and bro's cuz they write too damn much, and almost everyday for that matter.... besides, reading their blogs reminds me of how much of their growing up i'm missing by being so far away and that i miss them all dearly. i did enjoy seeing all the pictures - makes them feel not so far away. gosh, i'm gonna have to get me a good paying job after all this phD crap so we can move back to Cali. i'd love to be able to live in pleasanton or blackhawk (located midway between our two families), work at roche or some other huge company, and play badminton every weekend. dream big, aim high, right? hahaha... boy, do i wish!

Do you really think it'll be hard to find a job in the Bay Area once you get your PhD? I would think you'd be super marketable and would get a well-paying job pretty easily.
i agree w/rosella. besides, u can always take on roommates. or the 3 of us can buy a house together =P
shit, you can find a job. don't worry about not finding a job as long as you finish and do a good post-doc which can be in industry to let you find a roche. i'd do that too (just change that badmitton shit to something else i'm interested in like kung fu or tennis) if i didn't get a job as cal, stanford, or ucsf. i'd get a job at one of the state school's as well. we'll see. the dream is reasonable imaging geek.
